Visa Appointments and Processing
All visa appointments are made through American Express Travel or one of their satellite offices. Please see http://www.aegusvisa.com.pk/Default.aspx?PageID=10 to find the location nearest to you.
Consulate General Karachi requires all visa applicants to come in person to their interview.
We encourage all applicants to apply at least three months prior to their intended date of travel. We also strongly recommend that travelers not purchase any airline tickets that cannot be changed before you have a valid U.S. visa and passport in hand.
Please note that some visa applications will require additional administrative processing. Applicants are advised at the time of their interview whether administrative process is required. While most administrative processing is resolved within 60 days of application, timing varies from case to case. Before making inquiries about the status of administrative processing, applicants should wait at least 90 days from the date of interview or submission of supplemental documents, whichever is later.
On the day of the scheduled interview applicants must arrive at the U.S. Consulate Plot No. 3-5, New TPX Area, Mai Kolachi Road, Karachi 15 minutes before their interview appointment.
