U.S. State Department Delivers Motorcycles to Sindh Police

Karachi – In a ceremony on March 11, U.S. Consul General Michael Dodman and officials from the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) presented 25 new motorcycles to Sindh Police Acting Inspector General Iqbal Mahmood to be used by the Legal and Prosecution Department.
Speaking at Sindh Police headquarters, Mr. Dodman said, “The United States is committed to assisting the Sindh Police in their efforts to improve Karachi’s law and order situation. These motorcycles will provide needed transportation for members of the Sindh Police legal and prosecution teams as they pursue their vital work.”
Since 2011, INL has provided Sindh Police $29 million worth of support, including equipment, training, and over 100 vehicles, such as pickup trucks, ambulances, coasters, and police cars.
